Architectures of Cohabitation (2022)

The 2022 exhibition Architectures of Cohabitation continued the work of the Cohabitation project, focusing on architectural solutions for human-animal coexistence in urban environments. While the original Cohabitation exhibition in 2021 highlighted artistic and design-based perspectives on interspecies relationships, the follow-up addressed the question of how such ideas can be put into practice. Artists, architects, designers, and experts in conservation and urban planning presented and discussed existing approaches for integrating multiple species into architectural design and construction processes.

Manifest0 for an Architecture of Cohabitation

As part of the 2021 Cohabitation exhibition in Berlin, biologist Wolfgang W. Weisser, architect Marc Frohn, and landscape architect Thomas E. Hauck authored the Manifesto for an Architecture of Cohabitation. The manifesto was published in ARCH+ features 108 and is also part of the Architectures of Cohabitation exhibition.
