THÖRLS PARK HAMBURG

Thörls Park in Hamburg was developed in 1945 after clearing the ruins of the second world war. As part of a modern redevelopment to become a citizens’ park, various elements in Thörls Park were connected to other parks in the project Landschaftsachse Horner Geest to form a 9km long park-landscape. Studio Animal-Aided Design cooperated with Polinna Hauck Landscape + Urbanism GbR to increase wildlife experience for park users, by e. g. creating ‘bat loungers’ where the song of bats occurring in the area are made audible.
